4 HEELS

4 HEELS is a set of 4 patterns specially designed for the Summer of Socks 2024. These patterns focus on knitting 4 different heels, so the socks are generally quite simple. However, one of the patterns features a beautiful lace design, while in the other patterns, the effect is mainly created by the colors used. You can add your own embellishments and use these heels to create your ideal sock, or design new patterns with these heels so that you can ultimately discover your ideal/favorite heel and/or sock.

Sizes:
Extra small/Small (XS/S), Medium (M/L), Extra-large (XL)
Foot circumference: 21 (24/25, 26) cm.

The instructions are written for size XS/S, and the other sizes are indicated in parentheses (). If no parentheses are given, that part of the pattern applies to all sizes. The technique I describe can be easily adapted to other sizes not listed in this pattern. For a basic pattern for all sizes from newborn to size 47, I recommend the "Allfit Rib Socks" pattern.

Materials:

• Merino Twist Sock (100g/366m) 80% merino, 20% nylon, or Basic Sock (100g/420m) 75% wool, 25% biodegradable nylon
• 1 circular needle 2.5mm, 80 or 100 cm, or 1 circular needle 2.5mm, 23 cm, or a set of 2.5mm DPNs, depending on your preference
