Granny Chevron Shawl

It started with crocheting a granny chevron blanket. Great for all my leftover yarn, I thought... Well, I still think that, but after one round of crocheting, I already knew this would be a multi-year project, and that wasn't really my intention. I couldn't let go of the idea of crocheting with leftovers, so I just made the blanket a bit narrower, and that's how this Granny Chevron Shawl was born. The pattern is not new; you can find it in many blankets and shawls. What's new is only my interpretation and my colors, my yarn. Because I received so many enthusiastic responses, I couldn't help but develop the pattern. And are you up for the challenge of making a blanket? In that case, you can easily adjust this pattern in terms of width and length, and of course, you can use any other yarn to crochet your unique granny chevron shawl or blanket.

Materials: Crochet hook size 3.5mm

For the fade version, I used: 5 skeins of Wool with Verve Basic Sock (100g/420m) 75% Wool, 25% nylon. The 5 colors can create a fade, but a fade with colors less close to each other also looks very nice with this pattern.

For the multi-color version, I used: Approximately 475 grams of Wool with Verve Merino Twist Sock, leftovers, and minis.
