The blanket is knitted with a double strand of 4-ply/fingering weight yarn. I chose to combine a natural skein with minimal speckles (undyed can also be used) with 8 different colors. The combination of the two yarns softens the colors. However, if you prefer a blanket with deep colors, you can opt for a brighter solid color or use a double strand of a single color.
Yarn & Needles:
Wol met Verve Basic Sock (100g/420m) 75% virgin wool, 25% nylon, or a similar 4-ply/fingering weight yarn. Simple Sock Mini (20g/84m) 75% virgin wool, 25% nylon.
Main color: 2 skeins of Basic Sock in a solid or lightly speckled color. In the example, I used a natural skein with very light speckles.
Contrast colors: 8 mini skeins of Simple Sock in 8 different colors.

Size:After blocking, the blanket measures approximately 90x70 cm, making it ideal as a blanket for the crib, stroller, or playpen.
